Welcome back to Fundy Mutual!

Now that the summer is in full swing, we’d like to help you better protect your teen driver. The first time your child drives is a very special moment that shows their growth and independence. However, teens’ lack of experience, immaturity and tendency for risk-taking behavior all contribute to the rate of car accidents — and as such can affect your insurance.

You should have your teen take a driving course focused on safety. The more practice they get, the better off they’ll be on the road. They’ll gain experience as well as confidence behind the wheel.

Approved courses can really help teens develop their skills. Theses courses are usually available online or in-person and last a varying amount of time. Be sure to ask your insurance provider if they offer discounts if your child is enrolled in safe-driving courses.

Thank you for watching and be safe!
