Child safety tips [Video] [Video]

Hello, and welcome back!

While we might not think of products like deodorant or dish soap as potentially toxic, many everyday items contain chemicals that could be poisonous if consumed by children.

Whether they are within reach of crawling little ones or not, install childproof guards on any cabinets or drawers where cleaners, chemicals, medicines or garden fertilizers are stored. Even if they are up higher than your child can access from the ground, consider if there are any nearby countertops or shelves a little climber could open them from.

Even if you use them regularly, never leave cosmetics or toiletries within easy reach. Children like to mimic the things they see their parents doing, and everyday products like perfume, hairspray, mouthwash, nail polish and remover can be harmful to children.
