Fall driving safety – part 2 [Video]

Hello, and welcome back!

While many drivers take care to be extra safe on the roads during the winter months, it’s not the only season with unique driving hazards.

Autumn’s vibrant foliage is certainly beautiful but it can be a nightmare when it accumulates. Fallen leaves often cover lines and street markings, making it difficult to follow curves in the road. When they get wet from the rain, leaves can make roads as slippery as ice.

If you feel your car beginning to lose traction, don’t panic. Calmly let off the accelerator, then continue to look and steer in the direction you want the car to go, and avoid slamming on the brakes.
