Tips to avoid multi-tasking while driving [Video]

Hello and welcome back to Fundy Mutual.
Today, we’ll be sharing some tips to keep you focused and safe while on the road. Drivers who give into distractions while driving are three times more likely to be involved in an accident than those who remain attentive, so it’s important that you concentrate only on your driving. Disturbances can involve more than just texting, eating and dealing with kids’ temper tantrums in the backseat — it is anything that takes your attention away from the road and surrounding vehicles.
To help you avoid distractions while driving, make a habit of turning off your devices and storing them outside your reach before you hit the road. If you need to make an emergency call, pull over to the side first. You can also ask your passengers to communicate for you, just make sure they don’t start distracting you with the latest Facebook posts.
Lastly, spread awareness! Configure your phone to send a message letting anyone know that you aren’t responding because you’re driving.
Thank you for watching and be safe!
