Hi all and welcome to Fundy Mutual!

More and more landlords are starting to require renter’s insurance, so if you’re a current renter, it’s a good idea to see what your options are. If something happens to your apartment, the management isn’t responsible for any of your damaged or lost property. Renter’s insurance will protect you in this situation, but there are some things to consider. Today, we want to give you some tips about choosing the right coverage amount.

When deciding on a policy amount, you should make an inventory of your possessions to get a better idea of what you need. Note what the items are, when you bought them, what you paid for them and how much they’re currently worth. This will give you a good idea of how much coverage to get.

Tenant insurance doesn’t only cover personal property, but also injury. You should consider liability coverage to protect your household members if they become injured or their property is damaged.

Thanks for watching and come back soon for more tips!
